From center stage
Kennedy Forshey makes her final debut in her last fall musical here at De Soto High School.
Forshey has been involved in theater programs since she was 8 years old and has been on the stage ever since.
While taking voice lessons, dance classes and acting classes, Forshey performed in musicals and other shows through The Culture House, as well as being involved in theater program at Lexington Trails Middle School.
“I’ve always loved performing and singing,” Forshey said. “I prefer musical theater over plays, but I do love being involved with plays too.”
Forshey is looking forward to playing Cinderella in the fall musical Cinderella Enchanted Edition.
“I am most excited about the music. This show is very heavy in the music side so I get to sing a lot, which is my favorite part about musical theater,” Forshey said. “The music is also very interesting and I have enjoyed learning it.”
This won’t be the last time Forshey is featured on the DHS stage. She plans to audition and take the stage for her final bow in this years spring musical.
