Dustin Mortenson was approved as the new principal of De Soto High School by the USD 232 Board of Education on April 25. Mortenson will succeed Mark Meyer effective July 1, 2014, who accepted the principal position at Gardner-Edgerton High School.

Mortenson, a former teacher in the district at Montincello Trails Middle School, is currently the principal at Sunflower Elementary in Gardner.
