De Soto High School seniors Zach Atchison and Ryan Sears signed their letters of intent to continue their baseball careers at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe on Feb. 27, 2012.

Sears hit .395 as a junior and will play infield/DH this season for the Wildcats. Atchison is moving to catcher for his senior campaign.

“These guys are natural leaders, and they will take on leadership roles this year. We are really excited for his (Atchison) move to catcher and are counting on both (players) this season to be solid contributors,” head coach Joel Thaemert said.
