This year the 2016 senior class has started a game called Assassins. The game is organized by seniors and only seniors can participate.

Assassins had originally kicked off on Oct. 17 at 12 p.m. but was then ended due to complications. The game was  restarted and kicked off on Oct. 27 at 3 p.m.

Roughly 50 students from the 2016 senior class signed up to play the game.

In the short time before the first game ended a few seniors, such as Michaela Shupe were fast enough to get one kill.

“I assassinated my person at the homecoming parade. It was funny because it was right after he had gotten someone,” Shupe said.

Anyone who wanted to play had to turn $3 into the office.  The participation fee would be given to the winner of the game as a prize.

The objective of the game is to kill each target the player is assigned without getting killed. Each player is given one week to kill their person and if the player fails to accomplish that in the time period, they are then eliminated.

In order to “kill” a  target, they must shoot them either using a water gun or water bottle. The last person alive  to  successfully or kill each of his or her targets is declared the winner.

After a player has killed his or her target they receive a new target and are granted a twenty-four hour immunity.

The game does restrict playing from killing their target in certain places. These safe zones include school property or events, garages, cars and jobs.

Many seniors like Kylie Cornelinson and Rachel Moore chose to play the game because they thought it would be a fun experience.

“[I chose to play] because Mill Valley is playing the game right now and it looked fun,” Corneliusen said.

A Twitter page was made to clarify the rules and keep the seniors along with the student body and staff updated on the game.

The winner was not  announced at the time of press.
