On Monday April 23, the Student Nutrition staff at De Soto High School sent out and email informing students and parents that breakfast is now an option.
Breakfast will be served at a 7:30am starting April 30, and a full breakfast will cost $1.20. A full breakfast includes and entree item, fruit, fruit juice and milk.
Some of the entree items include, apple-filled breadsticks, muffin & string cheese, cheddar cheese omelets, sausage breakfast pizza, three cheese flatbread and many other options. A full breakfast schedule can be found on the DHS website under the lunch menus tab.
The point of serving breakfast is to help make sure students are getting enough nutrition and energy to have a successful day of school. It has been proven by many studies that breakfast helps provide energy, but it also helps with weight loss.
Serving breakfast will give students an easy and quick option to get enough energy to have a successful and focused day.
