Wildcat of the week: Tara Coffee
This week De Soto High School’s Wildcat of the Week, is freshman Tara Coffee.
Coffee participates in many activities both in and out of school.
Coffee plays tennis at DHS, cheers for KC Cheer and she goes to as many DHS sporting events as she can.
“I like to go to the football games because of the fun atmosphere,” Coffee said.
Not only does she like to cheer on the football team, but she has also cheered at KC Cheer for many years, and she loves it.
“I have been cheering at KC Cheer for 10 years and I have been cheering over all for 12 years,” Coffee said. “I have also been to Disney World 16 times for cheer competitions.”
Coffee joined the tennis team this fall and is really enjoying the sport..
“I like tennis because it’s a super fun environment, and the sport itself is very fun,” Coffee said.
Coffee has also shown how involved she is in the school by dressing up for every spirit day.
“I like to participate in as many things as I can,” Coffee said. “I feel like the more involved you are in school the better, so I dressed up as much as I could for each spirit day.”
Not only does Coffee make an impact on DHS by participating, she also has a great attitude towards school. Many people have noticed this according to freshman Brooke Stonestreet.
“[Tara] is always positive and always has a good attitude and is always fun to be around,” Stonestreet said.
These personality traits have led to Coffee’s positive impact on DHS, which is why she has been chosen as Wildcat of the Week for Sept. 25.
