Senior Emma Stucki is involved in many things at De Soto High School.
She participates in Madrigals and is a part of the musical each year. She is also part of the new Senior A&M Crew and NHS. She is involved in her church and youth groups as well.
Not only does she meet with her youth group every week for activities, but she has also gone on mission trips with the group.
“I’ve been to two mission trips. I’ve been to Detroit and Denver,” Stucki said. We do mission work for a whole week. We usually do things like painting houses, rebuilding houses or, on the opposite side of things, we do soup kitchen, homeless shelters, working with kids, clothing drives and certain things with that.
Along with mission trips, the group has many activities that Stucki is involved in.
“We go to conference events and certain thing like Round-Up for Hunger is coming up. That is a food drive. We also do this thing called Feed His Lambs,” Stucki said.
Stucki is also involved in the leadership of the group. She participates in a committee that makes decisions for the youth of her church.
“I’m a youth representative for the Youth Council Team at church,” Stucki said. We hire the youth leader and we talk about issues in the church. We also talk about how to get involved and we do fund raisers and things.”
