De Soto High School will be performing The Man Who Came to Dinner for its play this year, following up on the successful musical performed earlier in the year, South Pacific. The play will be performed in the Little Theater at DHS on March 1-3.
The Man Who Came to Dinner is a comedy about a famous radio personality, Sheridan Whiteside, from New York City traveling for Christmas dinner to the small town of Mesalia, Ohio in the 1930s. When he gets there, he slips and hurts his hip. Whiteside is forced to stay there for a few days, and hilarity ensues.
The play practices have been going well so far according to the cast.
“It’s going really well, I think we’re getting to the point were we can start character work,” said senior Lizzi Ramsey, who is playing Mrs. Ernest W. Stanley.
